Overview
The Lagos State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development commissioned Dar to prepare a strategic model city plan (masterplan) for the Mainland Central Area, located adjacent to the Lagos Central Business District on Lagos Island.
The project
Our design of the Mainland Central Area incorporates four local government areas. It has been conceived to accommodate a projected population of approximately 6.5 million residents. The project also includes access to social infrastructure for all, a comprehensive public transport system and a comprehensive utilities infrastructure provision. The project’s design is tailored to the needs of the community in the long term.
