Within our mission to support sustainable development and empower communities across Africa, Dar and Sidara have participated in the strategic Luanda Summit on Financing for Infrastructure Development in Africa. Taking place in Luanda from the 27th until the 29th of October under the theme “Capital, Corridors, Trade: Investing in Infrastructure for the AfCFTA and Shared Prosperity,” the Summit was a high-level continental event convened to foster dialogue and coordinated action towards accelerating the mobilisation of financial resources for strategic infrastructure projects across Africa.

The Summit was promoted by His Excellency João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço, President of the Republic of Angola and current Chairperson of the African Union, and was organised in partnership with the African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD). The Summit brought together Heads of State, ministers, international financial institutions, and private sector representatives to discuss key themes such as transport and logistics corridors, energy transition, digital connectivity, and innovative financing mechanisms for infrastructure development in Africa.

Its principal objective was to strengthen collaboration between African governments, development partners, and the private sector in advancing sustainable, resilient, and integrated infrastructure that supports economic growth and regional connectivity.

Dar and Sidara took part in the Summit through the stand hosted by the United Kingdom’s Embassy in Angola. Our experts contributed extensively to discussions and exchanges on sustainable infrastructure planning and development.

Since 1974, Dar has been working with our communities across Africa to realise the ambitious visions of our various nations and to support sustainable development and innovation across the continent.
