On May 5th and 6th, geotechnical experts and industry leaders from around the world gathered in Jeddah for the International Geotechnical Innovation Conference (IGIC), a global summit for exchanging ideas and advancing design practices and construction technologies in this critical field. Taking place at the Jeddah Hilton in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the event served as an exceptional venue for exploring industry best practices, innovations, and recent developments in geotechnical engineering.
As part of the conference, Dr. Roger Estephan, Director of Geotechnical & Heavy Civil Engineering at Dar, delivered a technical presentation titled “Understanding Subgrade Reaction Modulus in Modern Foundation Design.” His session explored the role of subgrade modulus in shaping efficient, well-performing foundation systems, highlighting a subject central to modern geotechnical design.
In addition to Dr. Estephan’s presentation, the event was also marked by the active participation of geotechnical team leaders from Dar Riyadh, who engaged in key discussions and knowledge-sharing sessions, reinforcing Dar’s regional leadership and commitment to advancing geotechnical excellence across the Kingdom.
Through contributions to forums like IGIC, Dar’s teams remain engaged in the broader exchange of knowledge that supports the continued advancement of geotechnical practice.
