This November, Amman will host one of the Middle East’s most anticipated architectural gatherings: the AIA Middle East Year-End Conference 2025. Taking place on the 21st and 22nd of November at the Fairmont Amman, the conference will bring together architects, designers, educators, and industry leaders for two days of discourse, exploration, and shared vision, shaping the future of design in the Middle East.
AIA Middle East is the regional chapter of the American Institute of Architects, covering 16 countries across the Middle East and North Africa. Established in 2010, the chapter serves as a dynamic platform for architectural professionals in the region, fostering collaboration, promoting design excellence, and addressing region-specific challenges and opportunities in the built environment.
Within this setting, Dar will participate in the first day of the conference through a presentation delivered by our Partner for Architecture Khalil Fakhoury, titled “ Designing Jordan: Architecture inspired by Heritage - 70 Years of Empowering Clients and Uplifting Communities.” The session will explore Dar’s landmark projects across Jordan and illustrate how the firm has reinterpreted Jordanian heritage through h a diverse range of innovative architectural design approaches. Showcasing a selection of iconic landmark projects, the session will highlight how traditional cultural and contextual elements have been thoughtfully woven into state-of-the-art contemporary architecture.
Through this lens, attendees will gain insight into Dar’s design philosophy, which bridges heritage and modernity to create spaces that celebrate Jordan’s identity while meeting the demands of today’s built environment.
