Following the MENA Solar Conference 2023 held in Dubai on November 15-18, we are excited to announce the publication of Dar’s research contribution, “Survey of Machine Learning-Based Predictions of Photovoltaic Power Outputs,” on IEEE Xplore  as part of the conference proceedings.

MENA-SC is a leading scientific platform for solar experts and researchers to showcase, promote, and exchange breakthrough ideas in the field of photovoltaic energy, with focus areas extending to PV materials and devices, future technologies, PV reliability and forecasting for performance assessment. The conference aims to accelerate green energy transformation by sharing and expanding innovative solar technologies.

The paper, submitted by Dar Electrical Engineer Mohammad Chebaro with co-author Salame Jean, presents a comparative review of Machine Learning-based algorithms for short-term PV power output prediction, and proposes an enhanced model structure to improve accuracy.

The study highlights the impactful research our experts are conducting in the field of machine learning and renewable energy, contributing to the global transition to renewable energies.
