Conference
Dar was honoured to be a Gold Sponsor of the 5th International Congress of the Order of Engineers of Angola, which was held this year from November 29th until December 1st.
Faysal Shair – Head of Dar’s Digital Solutions & Services Department – spoke in a thought leadership panel discussion that focused on the impact of technological innovation. Faysal also delivered a keynote speech on the crucial role digital twins play in optimising building lifecycle performance and achieving net-zero targets. During his presentation, Faysal emphasised the importance of adopting technologies not only in greenfield projects but also in existing buildings, noting that 80% of the buildings that will be occupied in 2050 already exist today.
Later, Majdi Saadeddine - Technical Operations Manager - presented the compelling results of Para’s implementation at Dar’s Smart Village headquarters in Cairo, as a case study of how digital twins can accelerate Angola’s journey towards its sustainable and resilient future. Majdi went on to explain how the technology can be adapted and used in a wide variety of industries to enable effective decarbonization.
The conference was an opportunity to promote Dar’s legacy and success story in Angola and beyond – with our experts welcoming visitors in the company’s booth, presenting in the main hall and workshop rooms, and showcasing Dar projects.
